About The Role

The e-Commerce Operations Specialist Intern will be responsible for managing product information and creating content for the APMEX website, and evaluate website user experience and deliver recommendations to management. The responsibilities of the Intern include fact checking, copywriting, organization and formatting of the Company website to ensure the site is on the cutting edge of the precious metals industry.

 

PROJECTS:

  • Assist with writing and optimizing descriptions of all products on the site to increase conversion rates, increase attachment rate, and grow the overall basket
  • Create optimized landing pages to maximize conversions, attachments, and basket size
  • Proofread all branded correspondence for accuracy and messaging
  • Help manage Top Products on the APMEX home page and use previous performance to shape product mix
  • Manage product availability and messaging on the APMEX Bullion Center on eBay
  • Constantly monitor the marketplace utilizing research and competitive analysis
  • Monitor internal site activities to minimize the time an error stays on APMEX.com
  • Assist Product Management with uniformity of site by categorization and sorting of products to enhance user experience and drive attachment rate
  • Track results and determine the success of all merchandising projects
  • Monitor e-commerce sites for new and different techniques to be used on APMEX.com

Qualifications

Education: Junior/Senior level pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Marketing, or related field required

 

Experience: Marketing or proofreading experience preferred

 

Computer Skills: Strong PC skills and basic Microsoft Office skills required
