About The Role

The APMEX IT Intern will be responsible for code changes and new code development for all the windows-based applications, website and APMEX services. This will include building new features, creating new forms and reports, testing, debugging and performing day-to-day support. The IT intern will shadow software development engineers and assist in design/development and documentation for new/existing projects.

 


PROJECTS:

  • Develop, debug, test, and deploy Windows & Web applications
  • Actively participate in agile team activities
  • Develop new or maintain existing web and windows applications based on specifications
  • Gather and analyze business requirements from various software core teams
  • Create, debug, and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures

Qualifications

Education:

  • Working towards a Bachelors/Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field

 

Experience:

  • Software programming knowledge of and/or experience with one or more of the following: C#, VB.NET, MVC, .NET, SQL Server, WPF, Winforms
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build responsive, cross-platform front-end web applications is a plus
  • Familiar with SQL, writing queries and stored procedures
  • Experience working with Windows communication foundation and ASMX Web services is a plus
  • Excellent communication, oral, written, interpersonal, organizational, a presentation skills

 

Computer Skills:

  • Good understanding of Object Oriented concepts and development
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and experience writing SQL queries
