About The Role

The Accounting Intern will assist the Accounting department with a wide range of projects related to account reconciliations, inventory, analysis, data entry, and other duties. The Accounting Intern will also shadow and observe the GL Supervisor, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Inventory staff in order to gain a general understanding of the Accounting field.

 

 

PROJECTS:

  • Perform various functions within each discipline of the Accounting department
  • Assist in the reconciliation process by performing account analysis and preparing journal entries
  • Assist in periodic reporting by running system reports and entering data into Company reporting templates
  • Assist with drafting policy documents
  • Assist in the month end close process by performing account analysis, preparing journal entries, data entry
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree preferred
  • GPA of 3.0
  • Junior/Senior level

           
SKILLS & ABILITIES
 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Computer Skills: Experience in MS Office
